Hi I'm Corinne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and proud mother of four and a grandmother of six (and counting). This is a fun phase of life for my husband and I as we are now "empty-nesters". My husband and I share a great passion for photography! I am constantly taking pictures, in an attempt to preserve not only special memories, but the fun moments of everyday life. I look at the world and people around me and say to myself, "That would make a great picture!" I also enjoy reading, playing piano, hiking, fashion and spending time with the cutest grandchildren on the planet. Cooking a delicious meal or treat for those I love brings me great joy. Food is definitely one of my "love languages"!

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the Mormon Church 34 years ago, when I was in my twenties. I learned about the church through my husband (at the time we were dating). I wasn't searching for religion in my life. Yet when I was around members of the Mormon church, I noticed something special about them. They were happy, positive, accomplished and friendly. There seemed to be a light in their faces that radiated goodness. I discovered that the source of this light and joy in their lives was the gospel of Jesus Christ as members of the Mormon Church. I love my family so much. I am grateful to know that our families can be together not just for this life, but forever. My mother passed away when I was only six months old. I am sad that I do not remember my mother at all, but it gives me great comfort to know that I can see her again someday. I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. He made it possible for me to be resurrected and live with my Heavenly Father again and to live with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

My membership in the Mormon Church affects every part of my life in a wonderful way. I go to church every Sunday to remember my Savior, Jesus Christ, and what he has done for me. I go to church to be with friends who have common goals of living good and righteous lives. They provide me with support and love, especially in times of trial in my life. But my membership is not just for Sundays. I try my best to live my religion by following the example of Jesus Christ every day and by looking for opportunities to serve others. It took me awhile to learn for myself that joining the Mormon Church was right for me. Members of the church abstain from drinking, smoking and drugs. Living a virtuous life and dressing modestly is important to them. Making the lifestyle changes necessary to become a member seemed to be a big hurdle for me. Now I can see that these were not sacrifices at all, for I gained something priceless in return. Living a wholesome Mormon lifestyle has kept me safe from many of the health issues and heart ache that accompany the ways of our world today. I gained a way of life that brings me great purpose and joy. I have many opportunities to share my talents through fulfilling various church assignments. My husband and I currently teach a class preparing young men and women who have a desire to serve full-time missions for our church. These missionaries will be sent all over the world to share the gospel message of hope with those who are searching for the truth.
