Hi I'm Karen

I'm a small-town girl, married and have 8 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to 8 wonderful children-- 4 bio and 4 adopted. In my fictious free time I dabble in photography, oil painting and hand crafts of all sorts. I collect recipes but have a love/hate relationship with cooking/baking. I like to be outside puttering around in the yard or garden. When I grow up I want to be a child photographer or an eccentric artist.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because I choose to be a Mormon. I grew up in the church and for quite a while piggybacked on my parents' (and others) testimonies. But I have since learned that full participation in the Lord's church is the only way to true happiness in life. It isn't easy being a Mormon, much is "required," but without fail when I'm following the teachings I am happier and an all-around better person. And whenever I'm following the teachings my family is happier as well. Jesus Christ is my personal savior and provided a way that I can repent of the things I do wrong. He marked the path that I can follow to be happy. I'm so grateful for that!!

How I live my faith

Right now I teach teenage girls. I work hard trying to help them see that true happiness only lies with Jesus Christ at the head. I also work hard to make my example one that is righteous and one that doesn't detract from the path of Christ.
