Hi I'm Holly

I love life and learning. I am a wife, a mother, and a friend. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love life! As a musician by profession, but a mother by employment, I try to balance the joys of family life with life long learning and growth. I practice, teach and perform the organ, piano, and violin when I can. I work at cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, learning, teaching, cleaning, and visiting friends in-between wiping runny noses and tears, doing pony tails, playing tag, changing diapers, and singing silly songs with my children. Oh yes, I sleep when I must and when it seems to fit in with everything else... To relax I enjoy a good trip to the outdoors, either hike, bike, or high adventure. My idea of a perfect science lesson is collecting bugs in a jar and learning about how each creature lives and functions. I feel like there is always something more I can learn and do and try to structure my time to allow those few extra moments for whatever that new something may be. I cherish every phase of my children's lives, and wish they would never grow up. I love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know it is true! At an early age I felt the watchful hand of a loving Heavenly Father. I am strengthened daily by the promptings and guidance of the Holy Ghost. I know through the teachings of Jesus Christ's church that my life has purpose and the progress, relationships, and learning I make in this life will continue beyond this existence. I have personally felt the strength and love of Jesus Christ as I have sought him to find the courage to change and endure the trials of life.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by using my time well and in a way that I feel God wants me to use it. For me, that is focusing my best energy on my family. I strive daily to build solid communities. I believe this starts in my home as my children are supported in an atmosphere of learning, love, respect, responsibility, and service. I strive to help my community through support of neighbors and friends, the organization of free music programs and training's, and through teaching children. Most of all, I live my faith by striving each day to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ, and more firmly planting His teachings in my heart.
