Hi I'm Kelsey

I am a wife and a mother of a 2 and 3-year-old. In January we moved to Ecuador to work with orphans. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have two toddlers that keep me busy. I love to read, sew, nap, be outside, and play. I grew up outside of Seattle, and in January we moved to South America (Ecuador). I developed a love of Ecuador when I worked with an orphanage program many years ago, and after I got married was able to go back for 6 months again. Having babies and jobs brought us back to the states, but now we are excited to be back in Ecuador again. I love having fun and laughing, spending time with my family, and getting to live in a country that I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I think the bottom line is because I know that the gospel this church teaches is true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and above all that He loves me. I am constantly amazed at the beautiful plan that God has laid out for me (and everyone) wherein I get to be with my family forever. I find that when I follow the teachings of the church I am happier, I am nicer, I am better than I would be on my own. The gift of the Holy Ghost is something that has really helped me keep doing the things that I know I should when times are hard. It sometimes is difficult to see the end benefits to making good choices especially during times of personal stress and trial, but the promptings of the Holy Ghost remind me that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me, and that things will turn out ok.

How I live my faith

Currently I teach the younger teenage girls on Sundays and help with weekly activities for them. I also get to visit a few ladies from the congregation each month to get to know them better and help them with any needs they may have.
