Hi I'm Stephen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and have received my mission call to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Unfortunately, I suffered a severe spinal cord injury in April 2011 that paralyzed a large portion of my body. As I struggle to deal with this setback and work through the long and difficult recovery process I have found my heart and mind turned toward my Savior, Jesus Christ, like never before. I have unshakeable faith that I will eventually be healed and know that this miracle is only possible because of the great power and mercy of my Redeemer.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. One of my favorite things about the church is the incredible spirit of peace and comfort that is present whenever I attend church, worship in the temple, or read the scriptures. It's amazing to me how quickly and intensely these feelings come. They are a testimony to me that the Holy Ghost is present in all the workings of the church and that this is God's true church restored to the earth.

How I live my faith

As I prepare to serve my mission, I'm looking forward to serving the people of Argentina as a disciple of Jesus Christ. The 2 years spent on an LDS mission is time spent selflessly serving others as much as it is preaching the gospel. I have a strong desire to do this because of my faith in the truthfulness of the church. The blessings it brings into the lives of church members are incredible, and I wish everyone had that happiness and joy in their life.
