Hi I'm Aaron Speer

I believe in laughter, honesty, and imagination. I'm a student, southerner, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm attending school to become an elementary school art teacher. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a mom, dad, and younger brother. I grew up in South Carolina but currently live in Utah. I enjoy theatre, art, singing, movies, and when I can, taking long naps. I love to laugh and have fun wherever I go.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I've had my faith tested and through it all, the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has brought me the most happiness. Being a member of this church isn't easy but the blessings that come from obedience to God's commandments are worth the effort.

How I live my faith

I try my best to follow Jesus Christ's example of patience and kindness. To live my faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is to strive to be like the Savior. I believe everyone should know they are loved by God. Serving others is the way I choose to show people Christ-like love.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Aaron Speer
God is our Heavenly Father. And as a father He loves each and everyone of us as individuals. We are created in His image as it says in Genesis. Heavenly Father is the perfect father, wise and powerful but still full of patience, kindness, mercy, and love. He wants to see all of His chilren return to live with Him and to grow to our potential. That is why He has created the a plan of happiness for all of us to follow on our journey through life. What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Aaron Speer
God loves all of His children. He cares about us and because He loves us He gives us commandments. Sexual relations outside of marriage, including homosexual relationships, are not part of God's plan for our happiness. As a member of the church I feel as though I have a duty to show all of Heavenly Father's children love and respect without judgement. Being a gay Mormon myself I have found peace as I have relied on the Savior and looked to Him as an example of how I should live my life. Show more Show less
