Hi I'm Brad

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad with four children. I've been married for 12 years. I own a small business, between that and my family I stay very busy. I also serve in a leadership position in my church which is very rewarding and blesses my life and the lives of my family.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members, so I was raised in the church which made it an easy decision to be baptized when I was eight. I did know it was right when I was baptized, I felt good inside. At some point within the following few years after I was baptized I began to build my own testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I now can say my testimony is strong and I have a desire to share it with others because of the joy it brings me. This is not to say that I didn't go through struggles, because I did, but my testimony of my Savior and His restored gospel got me through those hard times and continues to get me through lifes challenges.

How I live my faith

I serve in a leadership position in which I work with the men in our church ages 18 to about 40-45. Our main purpose is to look out for those who require assistance. Our concern doesn't rest soley on those of our faith but includes all of Gods children. We help people move, attend to the sick, comfort those who stand in need of comforting, and hold regular meetings to teach and learn our duties and reonsibilities. I'm also a home teacher. This means I look after a specific family and visit them in their home at least once a month. All adult men are home teachers and are also assigned a home teacher.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Brad
Jesus Christ was the perfect example. Even though he didn't need to be baptized to be washed clean, because he was perfect, He did it anyway to show us the way. New members are therefore baptized first, because our Savior was baptized and asked us to follow Him, second, because this is His church and baptism is the gait by which to become a member if His church and a covenant to take His name upon you.
