Hi I'm Julie

I'm a Mother of Five, Wife, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a stay at home mother of five wonderful children. Being a mother is the best job in the world! I graduated from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education and completed a Masters Degree. I taught Elementary School for several years before children blessed our home. At that time I was fortunate enough to stay home with them. I have been able to be home for those special moments that only happen once. While in those toddler years, I taught them preschool. Learning is a big part of our home and family. Besides trying to keep up with schedules and the every day tasks of life, I love to organize and reorganize our home, teach coupon classes, shop the sales for the "best deals", volunteer in our children's classroom, sing in the choir, try to cook healthy meals, travel, and play games with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong LDS home. My father and mother held busy callings which taught us principles of supporting one another and serve. At home, gospel principles were taught through Family Home Evenings, prayer, scripture study and example. At some point in each of our lives we have to know what is true. As a teenager, I read the Book of Mormon by myself and asked God if it is true. My answer came as a reassurance that I already knew it was true. I shared my testimony with others as a served an eighteen month mission, and continue to share my faith in Jesus Christ with my friends and neighbors. The gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth today. We are led by a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, guides us. God loves us and wants us to be happy. We can return to live with him again as we keep the commandments. The Prophet Joseph Smith did see God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and I can get closer to God as I read and ponder its teachings.

How I live my faith

I am what I am because of my belief in Jesus Christ. I strive to be like Him in all that I do and say daily. I think, "What would the Savior Do?" and then do it! Living the gospel of Jesus Christ isn't just on Sunday, it is every day of my life. As a family we read the scriptures and say prayers daily. We hold family home evening on Monday night and discuss gospel topics around the dinner table. We attend my Sunday meetings, weekly activities and worship in the temple monthly. All these things help and strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ and make me a better person. I currently serve with the youth and love them. There are amazing Young Men and Women in our area who stand up for their believes and do what is right. They are a great strength and example to me. These fine young people have been saved for the latter days.
