Hi I'm Susie

I grew up in the United States. I taught high school for a few years and now I get to be at home with my kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello. I am mother and a scholar. I taught high school history and Spanish and now I get to be my children's teacher full time. I love reading, playing guitar, watching Shakespear in the park and learning new camera tricks and photo editing tips. I have traveled to Spain, Isreael, Italy, Greece, Jordan, Turkey and Mexico and would love to next visit England and find out about my family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon but I truely became converted as a young college student. I had to ask myself if what I learned as a child was true. I loved my childhood in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints learning and singing about Jesus Christ and I always felt peace and love from His teachings but until I was a way from home and honestly asking God if this was true, I didn't deeply know. I asked myself what I really KNEW to be true. I first thought that I knew that when I served people I felt good and I could not deny that. The Church fell in line with this teaching. And I could look back on my life on how I had always been lead by God to the right things that brought me peace and good experiences. I asked God if the Book of Mormon Was true and as I was reading it one day in my University's library felt my heart pierced to the core that this Book was true and that the Savior knew my name.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in the women's charity group in my congregation. I plan meetings that meet the sister's needs like playgroups, cooking classes, computer classes, humanitarian aid, health and saftely and home managment. I attend Church on Sunday every week with my family even when on vacation. We find a building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints everywhere we may travel and attend their meeting. It is fun to meet memebers all around the world. I also help with the girls in my congregation aged 12 to 16. I am a leader at their summer camp and help where ever I can.
