Hi I'm Colbert

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school sweetheart. We have been blessed with six daughters and two sons and twelve grandchildren. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity over forty years ago.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At the age of seventeen I had questions. Why am I here? Where am I going? What am I doing with my life? Does God answer our prayers? Why are we baptized? Why are there so many churches? Does God have a plan for me? I studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I went to different churches and finally I prayed to my Father in Heaven. I received a witness that He loves me. That there is an eternal plan. That families can be together forever. That the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church.

How I live my faith

I strive to be the best I can be everyday, and in doing so, to make richer the lives of those around me. To be a happy healthy person and live my life with the utmost integrity, honor, and passion. I am trying to follow the example of the Savior. To treat other people the way I would want to be treated. I strive to be a good husband and father and to realize the importance of these roles. I strive to study the scriptures and learn the holy truths that I might incorporate them in my daily life. I try to be fully engaged and live life according to God's eternal plan. I enjoy helping people and making a positive contribution. I love serving in the Church. It brings me closer to my brothers and sisters. I really feel our Church is like a big family.
