Hi I'm Adam

I'm a father of four young daughters. I'm a pharmacist. I'm an avid sports fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been happily married for ten years and have four young daughters. I'm a pharmacist who's fascinated with the physiology of the human body. I enjoy vacationing with my family in places I've never been and especially enjoy the coast. I'm an avid sports fan who likes to play and watch most athletic contests but my favorite is college sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I first read the Book of Mormon when I was 8 years old because my grandma challenged me to a race. Of course she let me win but from that very first reading it has lit a fire in my heart and mind. I felt the truthfulness and power it contained and have continued to read it over and over again and each time I draw closer and closer to my Savior. There is a spirit and influence in its pages which inspires me to deep, reverent gratitude for the incredible sacrifice Christ performed for my rebellious and prideful soul. As I have come to recognize my complete dependence on His grace, I have felt His mercy and power lift me and carry me forward to personal improvement. While working to repent daily and follow His perfect example, I find my life is filled with more peace, more patience in trials, more power to overcome temptation, and more love and compassion for others. So to more directly answer the question of why I'm a mormon it's because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know the prophets who wrote this book of scripture are true prophets just like Peter, James, John, Moses and others were prophets of the Old and New Testaments. I also know that God has called a new prophet, Joseph Smith, in our day to bring forth this second witness of Christ and that through that prophet He has restored His church once again on the earth. His church continues to be led and guided by prophets today who challenge us to follow Christ and as I listen to and act on their words I feel that same fire and determination I felt when I first read the Book of Mormon. When I asked my daughters why they are Mormon's this is what they came up with."Because I believe in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Because when I go to church I know I'm making the right choice and I'm learning about Jesus and it makes me feel good. When I thought about getting baptized, I felt good inside."

How I live my faith

I feel like this is a work in progress. Of course I'm trying to follow the Savior every day but some days are better than others. I find things go the best when I start the day with sincere, honest communication with my Heavenly Father followed by searching and pondering in the scriptures for answers and inspiration. When my daughters were asked this question this is what they said. "I try to say my prayers and read my scriptures every day because they teach me what to do and help me know right from wrong. I try to be nice to everyone even my sisters and help my mom as much as possible."
