Hi I'm Jamie

I'm a Mormon mom and registered nurse.

About Me

I am a registered nurse that specializes in cardiac care. I have a one year old son and a daughter on the way. I have a wonderful husband who works very hard for our family. I love to spend time outside with my family whether its hiking, going to the park or playing at the splash-pad. Someday I would like to have my own garden and grow my own vegetables and plant flowers. I also enjoy exercising, especially going to spin classes.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and although my family was not perfect I knew from a young age that living the Gospel helped us to get through hard times. When I became a mother, my appreciation and love for the Gospel became even deeper. I am grateful to be able to turn to the Savior for guidance and direction in raising children. I am also grateful to have prayer and priesthood blessings as a source of strength and help for my family. Our home is filled with happiness when we do what the Savior asks us to do. With so much turmoil in the world today, the Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped to make my home a place of safety and peace.

How I live my faith

I love to perform service in the church. I am currently assigned to serve as a teacher/mentor/activity planner for the young women in my congregation/ward. I love being able to share my life experiences with them and to pass on to them the same blessings which the Gospel brought into my life when I was their age. It brings me joy to being able to watch them grow and mature into beautiful young women.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jamie
As Mormons we believe that part of our Heavenly Father's plan for us is to become like His Son Jesus Christ. I believe that raising a family is one of the best ways to develop Christlike attributes like love, selflessness, service and faith. Show more Show less
