Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother. My husband and I have been married for almost 8 years and have a 5 year old daughter. We also have an one year old black lab that we love like a daughter. I work full time in the dental field, at a pediatric dental office, while my husband goes to school full time. Right now he is applying to dental school. I also love to decorate cakes and have my own cake decorating business. I have been kickboxing since I was a teenager and even taught a class at the gym beginning when I was 17. I don't have as much time as I would like to keep it up, but when I do, I really enjoy it. My husband is a survivor of a rare syndrome called Guillain-Barre Syndrome. It's been 4 years since he got sick. He spent 2 months in the hospital. He was on life-support for a month of that time. I am grateful every day that I have him with me. He brings such joy and happiness to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents, grandparents and great grandparents are all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was raised a member and taught it's principals all of my life. I was baptized when I was eight years old. I have always know the church is true. I had a very special experience when I was 18 that helped me know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. Through prayer and scripture study, the spirit revealed to me that what I have been taught and have learned from the Book of Mormon are true. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel in the latter days, I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of the Lord that gives us modern day revelation. I know that there can be no greater joy in this life that to abide by the principals and ordinances set forth by our Heavenly Father. This is something that I have learned for myself and I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to attend church meetings every Sunday. This helps me stay close to my Heavenly Father and replenishes me spiritually for the upcoming week. In addition to Sunday church meetings, members of the church also have the chance to serve each other through out the week. Monthly, I get to visit with several other women from church in their homes. This is a great way to get to know other members of the church and be able to serve them if the need arises. We have activities that help us learn new skills and share skills that we may have with others. For example, we recently had an activity where we learned about couponing and budgeting. We also had a 4th of July BBQ that was a lot of fun for the whole family. The church is a great way to be able to serve those in the church and as well as those in the community that may be in need. I truly feel like I am cared about and watched over by other members who are so willing to help and so in-tune to those that need any help or just need a friend.
