Hi I'm Carlos

I'm a Mormon.

Hobbies are Fly Fishing, Guitar Playing and a little Oil Painting. Graduated from Franklin High School in 1958 Served in the USCG.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I felt the children needed a religion so we started shopping. I found that when things got a little too close to baptism, I had a series of questions that I would ask that I knew were unanserable. That got me off the hook. Thanks to a 10 year old neighbor girl who played with our daughters, we were introduce to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. When the missionaries came to our house and had talked for a while, I hit them with my magic questions. Lo and behold as they say, these 18 year old missionaries not only had answers to my questions but had their own questions for me. After taking the discussions and reading the Book of Mormon, I new that this was the only church upon the earth that was set up exactly as the original church that Jesus Christ started. It has been a wonderful and exciting ride.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had a variety of jobs in the Church. I worked for ten years directly with the youth, have been in a veriety of leadership positions. This church is what is refered to as a lay ministry. That means that everyone works for a living like everyone else plus we have variouse jobs or assignments withing the church. Our leadership does not get paid. Yes, we pay tithing. This is used for a veriety of things along with building our buildings etc. Anything the church builds, it is paid for.
