Hi I'm Holly

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just recently graduated with my Master's in Counseling and moved to the Seattle area. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, body-boarding, working out, and traveling. My dad was in the Army so we moved a lot while I was growing up. I enjoyed living overseas and learning about other cultures.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised Mormon I spent a lot of time studying, praying, going to church, and living the principles before I knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was Christ's church. Being a Mormon is not just about how I spend my Sundays it is about how I live my life every day. Being a Mormon makes me happy.

How I live my faith

Currently I teach a Sunday school class that covers the church's basic beliefs. I also help the local missionaries. I also try to read and study the Bible or Book of Mormon every morning. While I am nowhere close to perfect I try to treat people well and serve them. My goal is to follow Christ each day. As I strive to reach my goal I have realized that it is a process that requires one step at a time.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Holly
God has us pay tithing so that we can learn obedience, selflessness, and to put God first. I only give the Lord 10% of my income and he in return blesses my life in so many ways. Additionally, I know that my tithing is used to move forward the work of the Lord. Show more Show less
