Hi I'm Jonnathan

I grew up in an Idaho farming community. I'm the oldest of seven children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the Church, serving in Alberta Canada. I am unsure what direction to take in my life after the mission but I know God will guide me. I have grown up around a lot of family and as a result of that I feel very close to them. I want to be with my family forever and I know that through the teachings of Jesus Christ I can do just that. Even after death. I am a student at BYU-Idaho and plan on going there to study and then hopefully start a family of my own. I find the most happiness in being outside and enjoying the beautiful world around me. I'm also a nerd and love watching Star Wars and reading the Lord of the Rings. I often pictured myself writing a story that will get people dreaming just like these ones have done for me. Though I am not perfect, I know Jesus Christ is there for me. That is why I love learning about Him because the more I learn about Him the more I believe that through Him I can be changed. This is why I am a member of the church

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have grown up in it faithfully. My parents are both faithful members and raised me on a small farm. My testimony was tested during high school as I watched friends chose less than admirable paths. I decided to follow the teachings I had been given and quickly saw the beauties that follow a righteous life. I am currently serving a mission in Alberta Canada. I know the church is true. I've seen the wonderful blessings that come from living it. Joseph Smith was a prophet and he restored the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thomas S. Monson is the new and current prophet and the literal mouthpiece of God. Jesus Christ is our Savior. He Atoned for our sins and that atonement extends to all people. The temple is the House of God. There families can be together forever. I know these things are true.

How I live my faith

Day by day. No one is perfect but we have the atonement to make up for whatever we can not do. I am currently living my faith by serving a full time mission.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jesus Christ is the Savior. The Chosen One. The King of Kings. When he was on the earth, Jesus Christ taught how we can return to Heavenly Father. He taught that through faith, repentance, baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end we can one day live with Him and God. Then, at the end of His mortal life, He took upon himself the sins of the world. This was His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and it caused Him to sweat drops of blood. Then He was killed by crucifixion but rose from the dead after three days. This allowed us to one day be risen from the dead to receive a perfect body that will never die or suffer physical pain again. Jesus Christ was able to accomplish these things because He was the Son of God. Mary was His mother, but the God of the universe was His father. Show more Show less
