Hi I'm Robert

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4 children and 11 grandchildren. I have been married to my best friend for 42 years. I retired from a large timber company after 36 years. My interests include my family and outdoor activities. We live on a lake and enjoy all the advantages of that kind of living. I try to bike ride about 8 miles everyday, usually around the lake.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church and joined when I was 24 years old and going to college. I had been raised in a church going family of a different faith. Upon learning about the "Mormon" Church, it sounded very familiar, logical and family orientated. I read the Book of Mormon and found it to be inspiring and was blessed with a testimony of its truthfulness. After being baptized, I was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War, and was blessed for having been a member. The knowledge of the Gospel and feeling the love of the Savior sustained me for that time in my life. In the first 2 years of my membership, I was associated with 11 different wards and found the truths being taught the same regardless of location and demographics. This experience along with many others strengthened my testimony of the Gospel and changed my life for the good for ever.

How I live my faith

My wife and I have served in many different callings in the Church, teaching the youth, serving in leadership positions, teaching adults, organizing activities for the youth, adults, and children. Currently my wife and I server as senior missionaries, serving from our home and supporting programs offered by the Church in the area of Family Services. We also serve in the Temple one day a week. This has been a great blessing in our lives and very fulfilling as we serve the many who attend. My life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been one of great blessings, comfort and peace. This in a world of turmoil, heartache, and lack of understanding. I am thankful for the peace that comes from the knowledge of the Savior and the purpose of this life.
