Hi I'm Jen

I have an amazing family that I love spending time with. I enjoy reading, traveling, and boating with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with the best parents, four amazing brothers, and one incredible sister that are all great examples and friends. I love being an aunt to 26 awesome nieces & nephews! I enjoy warm weather, walks on the beach, traveling to new places, reading, family reunions, the outdoors, taking friends and family boating, and playing the piano. I also love meeting new people and learning from them. I have traveled to many places and am grateful for the friendships and memories made. I have a special appreciation for Japan and the people there having had the opportunity to live and serve there as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I now live in the Pacific Northwest. Life is good!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon today because of what I know to be true. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that we have a Heavenly Father who cares for and loves each of us individually. Being a Mormon I know there is plan for us to be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, a plan that enables us to live together as a family eternally. There is peace and happiness in living the principles taught in this church. I love this gospel. I love the guidance and values that are inherent in learning to be more like Christ. No one is immune from tough or challenging experiences in life, but it is very comforting to know that we are not alone in our journey here on earth and there is a purpose for each of us here. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us to love and serve one another, there is always joy in serving others. We are so blessed to have the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and living prophets to help us understand and live true gospel principles. I love the happiness and freedom I feel in my life as a result of being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life after the example of Jesus Christ. As I read the scriptures I look for attributes and teachings that I can incorporate in my life. I have had the opportunity to serve and teach women, young women (ages 12-18), and youth in our church. It is by teaching and serving that my own testimony is strengthened. I love the youth in and outside our church that choose to stand for truth and righteousness! I currently have the privelege of serving the young women in my ward and branch. I am grateful for their valiant examples, strength, and commitment to live righteously in a world that makes it increasing hard to do so. Our lives are blessed increasingly as we choose to follow God's plan of happiness!!
