Hi I'm Chris

I always try to be happy and make other people laugh. I love helping others, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love hanging out with my friends and family. I'm a loving kind of person. I enjoy getting to know other people. Listening to them, finding out about them, and serving them. I heard a great quote a few years ago that has really stuck with me. "People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." (John C. Maxwell) I love this saying because it is so true. You can try all day till you are blue in the face to teach someone, but until you show them how much you care by listening to them, or serving them, it won't matter what you say.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I was born and raised Mormon. I just followed what my parents told me to do when I was a kid. As I grew older I began to question the church and the Mormon religion. I wasn't sure if it was the faith I wanted to follow. Most young men of the Mormon faith as encouraged to go on a full time mission for the church where they serve for two years, preaching about Jesus Christ and his teachings. These young men strive to pay for their mission by themselves or with the help of their families. I wasn't sure that I wanted to do this. As the years went by I tried to find out for myself what I needed to do for me. One day I felt the Spirit of the Lord so strong and I knew with out a doubt that I needed to serve a mission. My life has changed for the better as I began to gain a better understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I became happier and more willing to help others as often as I could. I was a few years older than these young men were, but that didn't matter. I grew to love the people I served and got the chance to meet. What a blessing it has been in my life to continue as a member of this church. I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

How I live my faith

I'm not the most perfect person in the Mormon faith, even though some people may think that I am. I have faults and I make mistakes, but that is how we all are. No one is perfect. However, even with my faults and mistakes I will always offer a helping hand to anyone in need. I love serving in this faith. I have worked closely with the missionaries of the church, I have been able to help organize activities, and service projects. I have helped friends and strangers out in times of need just by talking with them and listening to their problems. I have been a secretary and set up meetings for members of the faith and those who are not members to meet with the leaders of many different congregations. Serving others is what brings me joy and happiness.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Mormon missionaries proselyte because they want to share the joy and peace that they have received with as many others as they can. I served for two years as a Mormon missionary and as I taught others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ I was able to see their lives change for the better. They were happier, they showed more love towards one another, and I could see the joy in their lives. The peace would show not only in them but in their home and lives. Show more Show less
