Hi I'm Chris

I was born and raised in the overly sunny state of Arizona. I love my beautiful boy and my wonderful wife. I'm a mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobby is trying new hobbies basically. There's nothing that makes me feel more accomplished than learning something new and at least becoming somewhat proficient at it. I love soccer, swimming, art, music, choir, reading, video games, guitar, and even tops. I'm attending college and will be majoring in Bio Medical Engineering. Building and fixing things has always been one of my likes so engineering was definitely the way to go for me. Now the bio medical part is because for some reason I find prosthetic parts quite interesting so I find bio medical engineering the best path to get me to building and creating things like that.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, my parents are Mormon so that's how I was raised. That's not why I've continued to stay Mormon though. I really haven't ever found anything that makes me happier than living the life style I live as a Mormon. Even when tough stuff happens every day if I'm doing find morally I can always find a reason to smile. One of the most defining moments in my own love of life was when I decided to read my scriptures every day. I have an older brother and I always saw him reading. I also have a younger brother and I started to think about him watching me like I watched my older brother. That's when I decided that I needed to read at least something in the scriptures every day. That's when I think I started to really build my own real connection with God. It's so special to me to know that can participate daily in my life. He loves me and I know I can and should communicate with Him daily. Even more special than that, He answers. He's answered so many questions and helped me overcome so much in my life that it's becoming easier and easier to recognize His constant guidance in my life. By those same feelings I know that The Book of Mormon was inspired by Him. I feel it. I feel so much happier in my current life style that anything else I could imagine.

How I live my faith

I go to church with my wife on Sundays and work with the 11 year old boy scouts, who are super awesome. One of my favorite activities that I've done recently was serving a mission in Guatemala for two years. Not everyone does that and they don't always go to places so far away but I was sent to Guatemala, not knowing any Spanish beforehand. It was an extremely intense experience being able walk around all day and look for ways to better the well-being of those around me. There I was able to do everything from just talking to people on the street about the hope they can find through Christ to helping farmers plant and prune their bean stalks. Now one the current service activities I do is I go to visit and share a small spiritual message with someone else in my religious group. It's great to have a set time to lift each other up for a few minutes every once in a while.
