Hi I'm Matt

I love sports, the outdoors, and spending time with my family. I'm an athletic trainer and a PTA. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 3 beautiful children. I have a wonderful wife. I work in a sports medicine physical therapy clinic. I love being outside, playing and watching sports. I love to laugh and I am very laid-back.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church but stopped going to church when my parents got divorced. I found out the hard way why we are commanded to not do certain things in life. After not attending church for about 5-6 years, I realized something was missing in my life. I knew what it was. I decided to try different churches to see what I felt in each, knowing in my heart the whole time where I should go. Before returning to the LDS faith, my life had no direction or guidance. I didn't want to go down the same road as my so-called friends. When I started to turn to Christ for answers, my life drastically improved. I stopped doing things detrimental to my body and mind. I decided to go to college and have a more meaningful career. I began associating with better people. And I realized how happy I could be if I kept the commandments and served my Father in Heaven. Today, I couldn't be happier with my life. Of course, everything is not perfect, but that is what makes life worth living. I love my wife, my family, my job, and my friends. I don't want to even imagine where I would be right now if it weren't for my decision to follow Christ.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church helps give my life guidance. I love that the Gospel of Jesus Christ lets each of us know what we can do to be happy and successful in this life and in the life to come. I am the scoutmaster of the boy scout troop in my church and enjoy teaching these teenagers, not only scouting skills, but also life skills. At work, I get to serve others all day long. Everyone of my patients have had some type of injury and I enjoy helping them rehabilitate to return to their normal lives. No matter what I do in my life I know that if I live by the example and teachings of Jesus Christ, I can, not only make myself happy, but I can help bring the same joy, that I feel, into the lives of those that I come in contact with.
