Hi I'm Emily

I am a Radiology student and dream to treat AIDS and malaria in Africa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a freshman in college studying Radiology.I love the medical field and want to be able to help people all my life. I dream one day to go to Africa to treat AIDS and Malaria. I love to be outdoors riding ATV's, camping or just hanging out in nature. Music is one of my passions. I have played the piano since I was 4 years old and absolutely love it! I write lyrics and hope one day to write piano music to those lyrics. I am also big into dance. I have been dancing since I was 3 and have tried every style. My favorites are Ballroom, Hip Hop and Contemporary. I love life and can rarely be seen without a smile!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and it was a habit for me more than a religion. But then one day all of that changed. I was in highschool, dancing and having fun in life. Or so I thought. But when I was alone I never felt happy. It was as though no matter what I did I could never find the happiness I was looking for. I had heard everyone at church say that we were the happiest people on earth. So I decided to figure out why they said that. I began to study the scriptures on my own and attend meetings because I wanted to. I went back to the beginning and began to investigate the church like I had never been before. The more I read the scriptures and went to church meetings the happier I felt. I longed to have that happy feeling all the time. I know that this church is the true church of God. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and my friend. He loves me and died on the cross to atone for my sins. He has become my best friend and I long to live my life in gratitude to Him. I know that Joseph Smith restored this gospel through the power of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and was written by prophets of old through inspiration from God. I love this gospel and cannot picture my life without it!

How I live my faith

Because I am in college, I now attend a Young Single Adult Ward and I love it! We have activites together many times a week and try to get out and serve as much as we can. I visit teach several of the girls in my apartment complex and love doing it. The Single's ward is an awesome place to get to know people that are my age and LDS. I sometimes feel like I only go to school to learn and don't do anything with anyone outside of that. I never feel that way in the ward. The people there have become my friends and are always looking out for me. I don't hold a big calling in the church but I never have felt unimportant. Every person there is special, unique and welcome.
