Hi I'm Sister Jacobsen

I grew up in Washington State, went to school at BYU-Idaho and now am serving a mission in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports, anything that gets me active and outside! A few years ago I felt prompted that I needed to serve a mission, so I started thinking really seriously about this big commitment. I KNEW it was the right thing for me to do and that is what God wanted me to do. So, I went and figured out what I needed to do to go on a mission. I was called to the Philippines and was there for about 3 months then I got really sick and had to come home. That was a really hard time for me in my life because I wanted to be out serving my mission, But I learned through prayer and study that God had something for me to do while I was home. I grew in faith and in trust of our Father in Heaven. I am now serving my mission in California and I love it. You can know what Gods plan is for you by praying to Him like it says in Moroni 10, with a sincere heart and faith in Christ. You WILL receive an answer!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ my whole life. In high school I started to doubt if the church was true and if I really wanted to devote my time to this church. I asked God if it was true and to help me know what I needed to do with my life. Nothing really happened right away but gradually I started to see all that He has done for me. After about a year of seeing all of these tender mercies in my life I got this great idea one day. Ever since then I pray to be an instrument in the Lord's hands and do whatever service or anything He wanted me to do. After about a year of this I got the prompting that I should serve a mission for the Church. Now I am a full time missionary in California! I am so grateful for this Church and how we can have communication with our Father in Heaven whenever we want. He really does answer prayers. The Church is true, just ask Him!

How I live my faith

For me being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints isn't easy, rules are sometimes hard to follow. Especially when everyone else is doing something that is "cool" or "fun" but in the end if you follow the rules and believe that if you live with your life in align with the teachings of Christ's church then He will help you. Trust in Him and everything will work out in the end. He knows better than you so trust Him even if you dont know why. I can promise you that when you do that you will get blessings and things you never even knew you wanted.
