Hi I'm Arwyn

I dance in the rain. Bill Cosby makes me laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Many years ago I moved to Russia with my sister, and my love of travel was born. I love learning other cultures and languages...and discovering new things to eat. The world is my kitchen! When I am not traveling I work and read and find new experiences to enjoy. I am trying to enjoy running (meaning I do not yet like it but I do it). Oh yes...I am on a quest to find the worlds best onion rings!!!

Why I am a Mormon

As I am sure everyone can attest, life is full of pain and hurt. I am a Mormon because here is where I find the purpose behind it and the joy that comes from such experiences. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the center of all things and knowing that, and living that, brings peace and joy to my life...even when there are hurts and pains. I know that God has a plan for each of us, I know that He has prepared a way for us to not only be happy in this life, but for us to be with Him forever. I am a member of this church because it has made me a better person.

How I live my faith

One of the wonderful things about this church is each of us is given opportunities to serve the Lord and each other. Each month I have the opportunity to visit with ladies in their homes and bring them a gospel message. Through these visits great friendships have been formed and new opportunities to learn and grow have been given to me. Over the years that I have been a member of this church I have been able to teach lesson, prepare reports, organize meetings, and develop skills in public speaking that have helped me in many areas of my life. By developing these talents (and it wasn't always easy) I feel that I am truly living the Lord's counsel when he said "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
