Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a horticulturist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy gardening, hiking, biking and sewing. I like learning about history and science. I just got married and graduated from college. I am currently reading The Lord of the Rings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by active LDS parents who took me to church, but I still had to find out for myself that this is Jesus Christ's true church on the earth. As a child I read from the Bible and Book of Mormon and prayed daily. I knew, even then, that God answers prayers and He loves us, beyond our own comprehension. I am so grateful that Christ has set up the same church that existed when He was on the earth, and has called men to give us counsel and direction when so many people in the world are lost, frustrated, and depressed. The knowledge that Christ died for my sins and was resurrected helps me to keep going even in hard times. I know that I will see my loved ones who have died, and that one day we will live in families in heaven. When I make mistakes, I know I can pray to God and ask for forgiveness and change my actions. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the GREATEST thing in the world because it brings me joy and helps me to become so much more than I could without it.

How I live my faith

I do not have a formal responsibility in my congregation but I help with the music whenever it is needed. I play the church hymns on the piano and on the organ. I enjoy discussing the scriptures and sharing experiences in Sunday school with other people in our congregation.
