Hi I'm Gloria Craw

I'm an author, a mom and a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the arid desert of the western United States and studied anthropology with an emphasis in archaeology at the University of Utah. After getting my degree, I attended Seattle University School of Law. My first professionally published book, Atlantis Rising, was released January 6th, 2015. Until the birth of my oldest daughter in 2000, my relationship with God was casual at best. Having her in my life was such a joy but brought with it a set of trials and struggles I wasn't prepared for. Remembering what I'd been taught as a child about Jesus Christ, I turned to prayer for help dealing with what seemed like overwhelming difficulties. One thing I can testify to with absolute certainty is that God listens when we pray. He comforts us and helps us heal. He never abandons us. For me, prayer was the beginning of a real relationship with Christ. Since then, I've added scripture study and regular church attendance. Jesus Christ has become my friend, his atonement is something I rely on and how he lived his life is an example of true selflessness I admire. Forty-one years into this life, I find true joy spending time with my husband and four daughters, writing young adult fiction and reading anything that isn't nailed down.

Why I am a Mormon

To me, the core of being a Mormon is a feeling of closeness to God. I know what it is to live with and without that closeness. When I"m following the teaching of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I feel the love of God and I desire to love others the same way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like the Savior. I try to give of my time and my talents to help my family and those in my community. I've served as a youth leader and teacher in my church callings.
