Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in Texas where my wife and I currently live. We have 8 children. I work in human resources and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of 8 children. I completed a Masters Degree from the University of Texas in the field of Human Resource Development and have been fortunate to work in human resources for the last 20 years. I currently work as a human resource executive in large, global technology company. I enjoy spending time with my family and serving others in the church. I very much enjoy sports and fishing. I continue to look for ways to balance my time and efforts with my family, church and work.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were faithful LDS members. I saw their commitment and happiness in the gospel. While growing up I clung to their faith a belief. However, when i first left home after HIgh School, I decided to find out for myself with regards to the truthfulness of the church. I read the Book of Mormon and contemplated Joseph Smith's first vision. Upon mediation, prayer and study, I felt deeply the spirit whispering to me of the truthfulness of the First Vision and the Book of Mormon. I also elected to serve a mission and these truths and the full truth of Jesus Christ and His gospel was futher confirmed for me. These experiences occurred over 30 years ago. Since that time, i have seen how the gospel has richly blessed my life and the lives of my family. I have seen the hand of the Lord in my life time and time again. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is true. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today who leads and guides this church under the direction of Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith saw God, the Father and Jesus Christ and restored the gospel to this earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read and studied it dozens of times. I know that it stands as a second witness with the Bible of the divinty of Jesus Christ. This knowledge and testimony is my most important possession in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to keep the commandments of God. I strive to keep my life morally clean. I strive to respect my body as a temple. I strive to be honest and faithful as best as i can. I faithfully pay a full tithe. I also strive to serve in different callings and positions in the church as requested. I strive to faithfully keep the covenants I have made with God. Additionally, I strive to be an example of living my faith to my wife and children. I strive to teach them regularly about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also stive to have the Spirit with me constantly by praying and studying the scriptures daily.
