Hi I'm Bonnie

I am the mother of 6 sons and I have 8 grandchildren. I care for a son with special needs and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 39 years. I love to travel, garden and read. I care for my 18 year old son with special needs. I love the beach and I love to swim.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in another religion, when I started searching and praying for answers I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that the gospel is true. As I studied and prayed I gained a powerful witness that this is Jesus Christ's Church and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. I have been a member for 37 years and I continue to be guided and blessed by the Lord in my life. As trials have come I have gained strength by following and living the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I cherish the scriptures, and I especially love reading from the Book of Mormon. We lost a son 5 years ago due to his service in Iraq. He was severly injured and finally passed away. During that time I was especially grateful for the plan of salvation and for the strength and comfort I have received from the Lord. I know we will be with our precious son again and I know he is happy and engaged in a great work on the other side of the veil. I know my Father lives and that I am His daughter. I know Jesus is The Christ and He is my Savior & Redeemer. I know the Holy Ghost is real and that He guides me daily in my life. I have been greatly blessed by living the gospel.

How I live my faith

In the 37 years I have been a member of the Church I have served in many areas. I spent many years serving with the youth. I taught seminary for 7 years. Seminary is an early morning religion class for high school students. I also served in the Young Women's program as a leader in the Sunday programs and as a camp leader. I especially love camping with the young women. It is a great way to get close to them and feel of their strengths as well as helping them know their Heavenly Father and recognise the Spirit in their lives. Recently I have been volunteering with my husband in the local women's correctional facility. There are 6 of us that meet with the women on Sunday mornings and Wednesday to hold religious services. We really enjoy the work we are doing there.
