Hi I'm Chad

I love family and basketball. I build solutions for recycling electronics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing basketball and have been playing for over 30 years. Spent a lot of time camping and waterskiing with my family as a child and young adult. Loved family reunions and roasting marshmallows as I grew up and experienced the great outdoors. Now with kids of my own, I realize I am turning into my dad as I frequently find myself saying the same things he did to me when I was a teenager. Now teaching early morning Seminary I find it is a great way to start and end the day. Although a tough calling, I can't explain the insight and spiritual growth I have found thus far. The future leaders of the Church and the World attend seminary, are awesome and I get to spend time with them every day of the school year. This year I will have a Senior and a Sophomore in High School and will be celebrating 22 years of marriage. Life is great when you focus on what is important... family!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been member my whole life but not active. My parents were married in the Salt Lake Temple. As I became more independent, I moved away from the gospel and into the world. I met my wife at a birthday party for one of my sisters friends. We dated for a very short time and were married in just 5 months. 4years later we had our first child then followed up 2 years later with our second. My wife and I began to seriously ponder about our future and we knew we were blessed with two great kids and had the duty to teach them and provide for them. We were impressed to contact the local Missionaries for some spiritual guidance. Approximately 1 year later my wife was baptized and 12 months later we were sealed in the Temple for time and eternity. Time has flown by with both spiritual and physical highs and lows and I know and rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Without His sacrifice and placing God at the center of my family, I know I would be lost, without direction and communication with my Father in Heaven. My testimony of the Atonement keeps me grounded and humble as I navigate through this life and prepare for Eternal life.

How I live my faith

I strive every day to live my faith by looking for the good in everyone and search for teachings from the Prophets both of old and current. Reading the scriptures and preparing Seminary lessons for the youth keeps me focused and learning how to keep my life in harmony with God's teachings. Each month I get to visit other members and look for ways to serve and share a spiritual message. I can't express enough how important it is to me to qualify for the blessings of the Temple. I go there frequently to serve and gain knowledge on how to be a better father and husband.
