Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm in the marching band. I build combat robots. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Computer Engineering. I have built and competed combat robots since middle school as a hobby, which was why I chose my major. I hope to work with robots as a career. I have played the alto saxophone since 6th grade and also play the french horn in the marching band. I enjoy being with friends that are just as silly and dorky as I am. I hope to one day find the love of my life and start a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. I'm third generation Mormon on my dad's side and second generation on my mom's side. I always believed what my parents had taught me about religion. In high school, however, doubts began to creep in and I felt like I had been riding on the testimony of my parents. I knew that I had to find my own personal testimony. I prayed to my father in heaven many times and every time I remember getting the feeling that I already knew that all the things I had learned were true. This was the start of my own personal testimony. These feelings were confirmed to me again and again while I served a mission for the church. Having this testimony is very important to me. It means that I have to live my life the way that Christ would have me live it. It gives me hope of the future in a world full of chaos. Somehow I know that all will be well if I just live my life as I know I should. I know that God is there and that he watches over me and guides me in the right path.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life the way that Christ would have me. I make an effort to read my scriptures and pray every day. I try to smile as I walk around campus and provide a helpful hand to those in my path. These small things that I do every day are the things that matter most to me. They help to keep me focused on the Savior and his teachings and to build a more personal relationship with my Father in Heaven. I also have a calling in my ward at college. Me and my room mate go and visit with other students in the ward and make sure that they are taken care of both physically and spiritually. We prepare a spiritual message for them once a month and offer them helpful service. Living something that I believe and know to be true is the most fulfilling thing for me. It is not easy, but it is definitely worth it.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Jeremy
If you ever want to know the truth about anything, it is always best to go to the source. God is the source of all truth. If you pray to God with a sincere heart, really seeking the truth, He will let you know. I came to know of the truthfulness of the church through reading and praying about the Book of Mormon. God let me know that it was true. Show more Show less
