Hi I'm Justin

Even though I am an attorney, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three beautiful little girls. I work as a prosecutor and I serve as Bishop in my ward. There is nothing that I love more than spending time with my family. To me, family is the most important and valuable thing you can have in this life and in the next. I also enjoy sports and video games. I really do not like social media websites, but here I am.

Why I am a Mormon

As a prosecutor for ten years, I have seen just about everything. I have prosecuted some of the most horrible people imaginable. But most of the time, I have to prosecute some really nice people who put themselves in a really silly situation that is going to effect the rest of their lives, and there is little they can do about it. That is why I love the Gospel so much. I make mistakes on a regular basis. I am human, therefore I err. What I cherish, is the fact that no matter the situation. No matter whether I am right or wrong. No matter whether I am healthy or sick. No matter whether I feel safe or am afraid. I have a Savior who can completely identify with me. A Savior that has been through it, felt it, knows it and is willing to lend me that experience and love. A Savior that is willing to say, "All is forgiven, now go and sin no more". A Savior that genuinely cares about me. In this world of craziness and just plain wickedness, I so often see people who have so many questions that go unanswered or unheard. I have had many of these questions. I have felt unheard and uncared about. I have felt abandoned. Then, I turned to my Heavenly Father. I stopped trying to understand and do things "my way" and genuinely tried to do my best in the way God wanted me to. I turned to the Gospel, and church and found myself in my Savior. I am not always right and I am never perfect but now I have a chance to not only be better, but to live with a Heavenly Father who wants me to be perfect. I am grateful for the opportunity the Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me to change and work at making myself better. I am grateful for the opportunity it gives me to understand why the world is so ugly and difficult. Why good things happen to bad people and why bad things happen to good people for no reason at all. I know that God lives and loves each and every one of us. It is because of this love and understanding that I can try to live each day to my greatest potential.

How I live my faith

As I said I am a prosecutor. Every day I meet people who make mistakes. Some really big, some really small, but all looking for mercy at the seat of Justice. I try to remember each day that these people are children of God and that they deserve as much mercy as i can offer them. Especially when they are truly sorry. Not sorry because they got caught; but sorry because they want to change. I also serve as a Bishop in my local ward. This has also given me an opportunity to help members of the church. I love that I have been given the opportunity to help them change their lives by getting them to the Temple, or watching fathers baptize their children. It is the little things that make us so happy. Our Heavenly Father knows this; and I am grateful that I can be a part of this process both at work and as I serve at church.
