Hi I'm Craig

I grew up in Southern Utah. I love outdoor activities including going to the lake and mountain biking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student in a graduate program. I have been going to school for the past nearly five years and will graduate in about two years. I was working as a medical assistant but am currently attending school full time. I have been married to my best friend for nearly five years. We have two handsome little boys. We love spending time as a family doing cheap little activities together to stay within our tight student budget. All of my life I wanted to "hurry and grow up", now that I am at this point in my life I wish things would slow down a little so that I could enjoy them more. After high school I served a two year mission for my church (LDS). Since returning home from that mission I have been working part time to full time while attending school. I am trying to prepare myself through school to provide for my family all that they will need. I love my little family and would not know what to do with myself without them.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has helped me answer important questions in my own life and about my family. After studying church doctrine I understand where I came from and why I am on this earth and what is in store for my family and I after this life on earth. I better understand how important each of my decisions is in this life and that I decide what happens to me after this life. I did not always make the best decisions when I was younger. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ who suffered for my sins so that I could repent and have a hope to live with God again. Repenting of things I have done which were displeasing to God was not easy but so worth it! I feel like I have been freed from a heavy load on my back. It makes me so happy and grateful to think that because of Jesus Christ I have the opportunity to always correct my mistakes and continuously try to be better. He is my only hope for personal salvation. Another teaching of the church that I love is that families can be together as families forever! They are not separated by death to never again see or know one another. There is nothing on this earth that is more important to me than my wife and children. I know through study and praying to my Father in Heaven that if I do what God asks me to, and if my family does what God asks them to, we can all live together knowing each other and loving each other as much or more than we do now! One of the best gems is that I will get to continue being married with my wife not just here on earth but for forever! I also love to read the Book of Mormon in addition to the Bible. Together they have helped me to understand so much about who God and Jesus Christ are and how I can try to live my life to be more like them. I know a lot of people say bad things about it, but I say just read it and pray about it and you will know.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect but I sure do want to be. Sometimes there are a lot of things that pull me in so many different direction that time won't allow for all of them. I try to prioritize the things that matter most to me. A mix of time with my family, school work, and church related service is what I shoot for. I love taking time with my little children teaching them not only about the world God has created for us but about the relationship that we have with that God who created us. They seem to love this family time and activities that we do together.
