Hi I'm Becky

I am the 4th out of 5 children so I had to be different. I was born with bright red hair on Halloween. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have taken on many roles in my life; sister, daughter, single starving student, employee, teacher, newly wed, wife, mother, single mother, unemployed, postal worker, student yet again, registered nurse and wife. I grew up in the big city but had a love for animals, particularly horses. I am an avid reader. I love to make jewelry from beads. I now have a job working with sick children. My daily goal is to get each child to smile and laugh. I love finding the perfect toy for each child and watch as their face lights up. I truly believe little children are pure and innocent. I love to shop for bargains. A good deal can always been found if you have time and patience.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have taken on many roles in my life, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints always has been my constant foundation. I was bought up in a household where family is the center of life. Family is your support in good times and in bad. Work is a part of everyday life. Everyone needs to be a part. The center of our family unit is Jesus Christ. My values and personal integrity are interlinked around Jesus Christ and the way he lived his life. I know that if I live like Jesus Christ and teach my family to do the same, we will be together in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Although it sounds simple and cliché, I try to live a Christ like life. I believe it is the small, every day choices we make that prove we are Disciples of Christ. I strive to live honestly; at work, in my community and in my home. I love to help in community projects (especially if it means I get to go shopping!) I did serve a mission in the Valencia California Mission. I enjoy teaching the children in primary. I was secretary for the young women program. Now I am a ward missionary. I help to teach the gospel essentials class each week. I have enjoyed getting to know the missionaries and feed them as often as I can. In my capacity as a nurse, have gone on three Treks (pioneer reenactments).

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Each individual needs to know for him/her self if Mormonism is true. In the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon, we learn to ask God, or pray, with real intent to know if this is true. The answer will come, maybe not right away but the anwer will come. Heavenly Father will touch your heart, and you will know the truth. I have taken this challenge myself. God answered me that this is the Church I should belong to. Show more Show less
