Hi I'm MaryAnne

I am born and raised in Washington state in the rain and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is MaryAnne. I am an only child. I have been married twice, having 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy, with my first husband. I married my second husband in 1991. I was inactive when we married but came back to church in 2001. My husband joined in 2003. We were sealed in the Seattle Temple on our 13th anniversary in 2004. He has one son. We have 11 grandchildren. Only one grandson is a member at this time.

Why I am a Mormon

I lost my only son to crib death when he was 7 weeks old. The church I belonged to told me that he had went to hell because I had not had him baptized. Because of this I met an old friend that had converted to the LDS church and she began talking to me. I did not want to hear anything about organized religion. I finally consented to allow the missionaries to come out and talk to me. My first question was, "Where is my son?" My first lesson was about the celestial kingdom. Before the missionaries left that day, I knew in my heart that this is the true church. That was in 1972. They answered all the questions I had about the other churches that I attended and put all the puzzle pieces together in one place and showed me the whole picture.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sunday's and so enjoy Sacrament service. I am Ward Historian try to learn as much as I can about what all is going on in the ward so nothing gets missed. I also have a calling in the Nursery. And, I served a 2 year, at home, as a FamilySearch Service Missionary, working from my computer. I am also a Ward missionary and love to meet and befriend people who may be looking into the church. I love to share my testimony of the Gospel and Jesus Christ with anyone who will listen.
