Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Southern Idaho boy in Colorado with a love for the outdoors and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Mark. I have the privilege of being the father of four wonder children and married to a wonderful woman for time and all eternity in one of the Lord's temples on earth. Prior to family life, I spent time in school, A two year mission in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania Mission where it provided a solid foundation for the principles believed in and practiced. I spend my professional hours working in the landscape industry loving those wonderful plants.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to great parents who instilled in me a love of family and a belief that God is real and loves His children. They taught me about the Savior and His sacrifice for all mankind and the role of the Holy Ghost who testifies of the Father and the Son. The belief and understanding that a prophet and 12 apostles walk the earth today, provides me with an assurance that a Heaven Father is mindful of my existence. Growing up in the church gave me a solid foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ but there was a time when I had to gain my own testimony. I received a witness that started out as a little seed but continues to grow every day. As a member of Christ's I can trace the authority of my baptism. This authority is to seal on earth and bind in heaven. I listen directly to the words of a living prophet who leads and guides in these the latter-days I believe in the First Vision and the testimony of the Prophet of the Restoration, Joseph Smith who declared that the Father and Son spoke to him in a grove of trees. This and succeeding events have opened heaven's communication to the earth once again and have opened my eyes to eternity. This is why I'm a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Trying to live a life that is constant to the teachings on my Heaven Father. Serving my fellow men and leading a life that is full of joy and love. True believers in Christ strive to live like Him. I have tried to read my scriptures and say personal prayers each day. This helps me to learn what I am supped to do and how I should act every day. Thanking my Father in heaven everyday for all that he has given unto me. Being thankful for what Jesus has done for us. Always having the spirit to dwell in me by doing what is right. My family and I are very involved in church. We go to Sunday meetings, but we participate in a lot of extra activities, too! My boys are in Scouts and my younger kids have many activities, too. The church offers us so many outlets that we can't possibly take advantage of them all.
