Hi I'm Kendra

I am the calm in the storm, I am a 911 dispatcher that will help you get through the worst moment of your life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a master schedule keeper! I am a mother of three very active children, who works part time as a 911 dispatcher and has a husband who is a firefighter, which means he is away from home for forty-eight hours at a time. Our life can be crazy and hectic, but we make spending time together our priority. We play card games, take day trips to explore the beautiful landscape around us, and make sure there is lots and lots of laughter. Our path hasn't always been easy, for the majority of our 14 year marriage, my husband wasn't a member of the church. He was very supportive of our children and I, but didn't feel the need or desire to have the gospel in his life. This past year our family has been very blessed with his decision to become a member of the church and be baptized. Since his baptism, we have grown closer as a family and have had many experiences that have strengthened our own testimony's of Christ, and his role in our lives. We are so excited to have the opportunity to go as a family to the temple and be sealed together for time and all eternity in April '12.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a daughter of God, that's why I'm Mormon. This knowledge helps me everyday. Also knowing that He hears my prayers and loves me and is concerned about me. His love for me is unconditional, even when I make mistakes. When I attend church each week, I am filled with hope and strength that helps me to overcome the trials that I face in my life. Through His plan, I know that my husband and I can be together with our children for eternity. I do not live my life in fear. I know that my Father in Heaven wants me to be happy and to enjoy all the blessings that He has given me. It is never too late to seek Him. It can be scary, out of our comfort zone, and even those around us may challenge what we are seeking, but I do know this, with God, all things are possible.

How I live my faith

I work closely with the women in our congregation. I help to ensure their needs are being met, spiritually as well as temporally. By doing this, I have the opportunity to visit these amazing women in their homes each month and get to know them personally. Service is a huge part of our organization, and it is a wonderful feeling when I find ways to serve these women, and I know my life is blessed by my Father in Heaven when I am serving His daughters.
