Hi I'm Ben

I'm from Idaho. I am a father of four. I am a Registered Nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern Idaho. I am the youngest boy in a family of six children (three boys and three girls). Both of my parents are nurses and growing up I never though I would want to be a nurse. Currently I work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical/Surgical unit of our local hospital, and I love it. I am married to the love of my life, we have four children and the youngest two are twins. My number one priority is my family. I would not be who I am today or where I am spiritual or career wise if it weren't for the love and support I get from my wife and children. Everything I do, I do for them and their happiness, which makes me happy, so it all works out. I am a husband to one, a father to four a Registered Nurse and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My parents are LDS, my grandparents are LDS and my great-grandparents were LDS. Growing up in the church I never questioned our faith, I never felt that I had to. It wasn't until I decided I wanted to serve a mission for the church that I realized I really needed to know for myself if everything I had been taught throughout my life was true. So, I did as the scriptures and as my church leaders and parents taught me and I prayed to my Father in Heaven to know the truth. Through a lot of prayer and pondering and scripture study I came to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is in fact the lords church, restored in its fullness through the prophet Joseph Smith. I am a Mormon because I know my Heavenly Father loves me and He answers my prayers, and He help me to the that this is the true church of God.

How I live my faith

I have always tried to live the teachings of Christ and the LDS church, by serving my family and those around my. As Mormons we learn from an early age the importance of serving in our community and church. At the age of 19 I left home for two years to serve a mission in Russia, where I taught the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who were willing to listen and I served in the community. Currently I serve in my local congregation as a Sunday school teacher for the 6-7 year old children. I am also a Home teacher, this is a church program in which members are assigned several member families to visit throughout each month, discuss the gospel and help the family with any needs they may have. At home my wife and I teach our children the importance of prayer, scripture study and service. We do our best to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with our children through our example.
