Hi I'm Monte

I'm a Mormon. I was raised in Eugene Oregon. I enjoy golfing and scuba diving.

About Me

I consider myself a fun loving person. I enjoy almost all sports. I am a avid golfer and also scuba dive whenever I get the chance. My favorite dive destination is Cozumel. I love golfing anywhere as long as it's not raining. My wife and went to Baton Rouge LA. To build homes for habitat for humanity. We also built another habitat home here in Our home town. It made us feel very blessed have the opportunity to help people that were displaced by hurricane Katrina.

Why I am a Mormon

Whenever I have needed the Lords help he has always been there for me. Many times I had thought he was not, but that was my inability to hear him. In my youth I did not consider myself a spiritual person and only tried to communicate with heaven when I had no other option. As my life progressed and I started a family, I noticed my focus changed from what I wanted to the needs of my family. My wife and I tried to raise our children to be good law abiding citizens and protect them from the harmful things that exist everywhere. I found that as I took the time to get to know my Savior he took the time to inspire and help direct my life. I found our spirits need nourishment just like our body's and if we seek out the Lord through the scriptures and prayer he will bless our lives with his council and love. The Church has taught me how to draw nearer to my Heavenly Father and also how to help guide my family thru the land mines of life.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints we are given the opportunity to serve others and in turn bless our own lives. I had the blessing a number of years ago to serve with the youth. I was impressed to see how they were all blessed with different abilities and talents. As a youth leader we always made a effort to include everyone and make sure all the youth felt welcomed and participated. I love to serve, and feel like in a small way I helped give back for all the help I received. As I learn more about the Lord and his love for us many problems and worries that kept me up at night seemed to lessen and fade away. Life has its challenges but were not alone and thats very comforting.
