Hi I'm Robert

I love to write, teach, learn, and to have a blast where ever I go. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 21 years old and I grew up in Arizona, then spent my last two years of high school in Utah. I like to do a lot of things like play video games, play any type of sports, read, and learn. I plan on going to college after I'm done with my mission. I've made bad choice in my life and I'm following the gospel to make up for what I have done. The Lord loves me and loves everyone in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I'm still a LDS member of the church. Why I continue to follow His gospel is, because I've seen the blessings in my life and in my families life when we follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know this church is true and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of God our Eternal Father and Jesus Christ. He has blessed my life and continue to do so if I continue to follow Him and keep his commandments. I've seen so many bad times in my life, but I know that he was watching over me. I love him and he loves me. For I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and loves all his children.

How I live my faith

I'm not perfect, no one is. How I live my faith? One of the ways is that I serve the Lord and share the gospel with everyone. I'm on my mission right now and I'm going around sharing the gospel on Jesus Christ. I repect everyone's faith and religon. For the Lord Jesus said "love one another."

What is the Book of Mormon?

Robert
The Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ and that he lives. The Book of Mormon is a ancient record of people who lived 600 B.C. to 421 A.D. The most important event in the Book of Mormon is that Christ showed himself to the people in the America after His Resurrection to teach and to form his church in the America. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I also believe in the King James version of the Holy Bible. They both work together and support each other. The Book of Mormon has blessed my life and it will continue to do so as long as I read, pray, and continue to keep the commandments of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet of God. Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Robert
The reason why we are called mormons. Is because of The Book of Mormon, for we believe it's the word of God that's been given to us in these days. We believe in the Bible as far as it's translated and it works hand in hand with the Book of Mormon. This wonderful book of scripture has blessed many lives and it can bless yours. The name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. That is the name of the church and the name Mormons is a nickname given to us by the people who don't know the Church's name. I don't mind being called a Mormon, but I feel it shows more repect if we are called Latter-day Saints or LDS. Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Robert
Yes, Jesus Christ did show himself in Ancient America after he was resurrected and taught his apostles in Ancient Jerusalem. The Book of Mormon is proof of Jesus Christ coming to America and forming his church, teaching his gospel and called disciples to run the church in America. The Book of Mormon is also testifies that God loves all his childern everywhere not just one group of people. In history when the Americas were discovered they also discovered people living in this land. In the Bible Christ said that HE must go to the other sheep that are not of this fold( meaning a different place not Jerusalem and places around bout it.) The Book of Mormon is the ancient record of the ancestors of the Native Americans. So I invite you to read the Book of Mormon and ask God for yourself if it is true. Show more Show less
