Hi I'm Brandon

I am a husband, a soon to be father, a CPA, a cyclist, a gamer, a weightlifter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There are a few things that define who I am in life; these being my faith in God, my relationship with my family and my dedication to work each day. First, my faith in God, I'd like to think I am dedicated to serving the Lord each day through my example, my dedication and my words and actions. I am not perfect that's for sure, but I try each day to live the commandments and be more like our example Jesus Christ. The second thing you should know about me is that I love my family! I have a beautiful wife I adore and a baby little girl on the way. I don't think words describe how I feel about becoming a father. What a sacred responsibility, to rear a child in obedience and teach her the correct principles. My love for family started in my own home growing up, I have 5 best friends (siblings) and two wonderful parents who bring happiness to my life, they are always there for me and lead by example. Finally my dedication to work; from a young age my father and mother taught me the importance of work, I earned my first thousand dollars by the time I was 9, since that time I have been dedicated to providing for my own family and working hard to do so. I enjoy the satisfaction of receiving an paycheck for an honest days' work. Finally I enjoy many more things including; music, going to the gym, golfing, cycling, shopping (don't tell my wife), and being able to watch a good football game on the weekend!

Why I am a Mormon

As with many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day I was born into of goodly parents who taught me principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. At some point in life it becomes necessary for someone including myself to desire to know what is correct and what path we should follow. For me this desire began as a young man and continued developing and growing until I reached the age of 19. At this point I was faced with a decision; head to a different country and give two years of my life for something I thought was good, or head to a different country and give two years of my life for something that I believed to be true. I chose the latter and through various experiences have come to know for myself that what I was teaching was true. I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be Christ's church on earth today. That it was set up by the Lord Jesus Christ through his prophet Joseph Smith. I would never worship Joseph Smith, nor pray to Joseph Smith, but I would reverence his name with all of the other holy prophets who lived upon the earth including Adam, Moses, Abraham and Isaac. Yes I worship the one and only Supreme Being of this universe; God the Father. He is the creator of our soul, he is the beginning and the end the Father of us all. It is only through his Son Jesus Christ that we can know him, He set the example of what we should be and what we should do. Then in one great and eternal sacrifice he gave his life for me and you so that we might live with our Eternal Father again. It is Him I offer up my prayers, it is Him I look to for strength, it is Him that I reverence above all others.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we are not directed to be idle. Our faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ does not mean a faith of inactivity and slothfulness. We are called to serve in His church as leaders, teachers, examples, and friends. I myself have been called to lead a group of approximately 60 young men ranging from ages 12-18. This includes teaching them to have faith and to pray, leading them on camp outs, participating in weekly activities and building my friendship with them. I try my best to set a good example for them by working hard and speaking of our Savior Jesus Christ often and at the same time I hope that they understand who I am as a person; a fun, life-loving, individual who enjoys heading to a baseball game, and playing a game of basketball at the gym. In addition to my designated calling in the Church, the Lord has called us all to be a witness of him. "To mourn with those that mourn, yea and comfort those who stand in need of comfort, and to stand as a witness of God at all times and in all things, and in all places." I love serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Life is more than to "eat, drink, and be merry", it is more than going to work each day coming home to your family and boating on the weekend. God would have us serve him and worship him and I believe the most appropriate way we can do that is by serving and learning in His Church.
