Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a mother, wife, dietitian and more importantly a Mormon.

About Me

While being a mom consumes most of my time, in the moments I am not changing diapers, playing or cleaning, I love to study about food and nutrition. I work as a dietitian at a nearby hospital a couple days a week and do what I can to share my understanding of nutrition with others. My family and I love to be active, whether we are hiking in the mountains or playing at the park, enjoying nature is something we love.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born into a family that already practiced the Mormon faith I continually have to renew my own belief. I have questioned my faith at times, especially in my teen years and even as a young adult. Each time I feel lost or overwhelmed I find the answers I need, and I find the strength I need in Jesus Christ and His restored gospel. I am a Mormon because I have felt the Holy Ghost confirming the principles and truths I learn about each Sunday, and because when I practice these principles that is when I feel God's confirming love the strongest.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving and serving my husband and children. I live my faith by visiting other women, sharing a message of Christ and serving them in ways that enrich their life. And I help to organize monthly activities for women to be strengthened by gospel principles and refreshed by a sisterly companionship. I live my faith by helping others feel the love of God in their life.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Natalie
As a youth I often thought, like many, that the organization of the church discriminated against women. However, after living it I have come to see the fallacy in my youthful thinking. As Mormons our lives revolve around our family. Its not my job to run the family, it is our job. My husband works to support me and our children. We are his world, and he is our world. Through respect and service we are able to balance the demands of life and family so each family member and grow and succeed in their own way. Show more Show less
