Hi I'm Mary Ann

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in eastern Arizona. I am wife and mother of three. I am a nurse.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. I work outside the home as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). I love working with babies and families. Babies are so beautiful! While the NICU can be intense, my goal is to help parents understand that they are the most important people in their life. The special connection that only parents can have with their babies is the medicine that can not be duplicated by any technology. A few years ago I went back to school to get my Bachelors degree in nursing. I am two classes away from completing my degree. Working with families helps me remember my all time favorite job-that of mother. I love watching my kids in their various activities. My daughter and I are training for our first bike race! I haven't been this intensely active in a while and it feels super good to be riding especially with my daughter. My husband and sons are our cheer leaders and "bike fixers". I love spending time with my family and extended family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is His church. My mother joined the church when she was 14. She was raised attending many different churches but when she went to the Mormon church she felt the spirit very strongly. She married my father, a member of the church with Mormon pioneer heritage. They taught us about the Savior and about the gospel. We were encouraged to find out for ourselves if the church was true. And indeed I did! My testimony comes from studying the scriptures including the Bible and Book of Mormon and most importantly praying to know if the things I read are true. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ is real and that his Atonement is real! Trying to live the things I know are true, makes me happy and brings me peace! That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by participating in my ward and community. Currently, I have the opportunity to serve with the girls 12-18 as the secretary. It is so awesome to see them learn and grow in their life experiences and learn that following the gospel of Jesus Christ. Recently we went to camp with the girls. It was so amazing! I also live my faith by being kind to everyone. I am not perfect but I am trying to follow the example of the Savior. I am shy so sometimes this is hard to go outside my bubble. I fail when I don't keep trying. I love getting to know people so I don't know what my hang up is. So I keep trying!
