Hi I'm Andrea.

I am a single mother to two very rambunctious boys, a graduate student, and a baker. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to two little boys. It is hands down - the best (and sometimes the hardest) thing I have ever done with my life. They inspire me everyday - to work a little harder, to take time to enjoy them and this beautiful life I have been given. I am getting my Masters in Counseling. I have a few semesters left and I cannot wait. I love to read and to spend time outdoors. I also love to bake...especially cupcakes.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it makes me happy - this commitment brings great joy to my life. First and foremost I live this way, I believe in this gospel, because I find peace and meaning and comfort and direction in a world that can often be so very confusing. I have chosen to be a member of this church because I have found that as I follow Christ and His teachings I am comforted - no matter how difficult my circumstances may be - and I am strengthened. I have learned that as i rely on Heavenly Father- as I build my life upon truth I can do all things. I can honestly say my belief in Christ and His gospel is the most valuable thing I have.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each day - and one way I do that is through daily prayer. I have come to know that as I pray to my Heavenly Father - my prayers are heard and answered. Another important part of my faith is in the idea of service. I have been asked by my Bishop to teach the women in my ward once a month. This has been a wonderful experience for me. I have learned and grown so much as I have prepared these lessons.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

For Mormons "testimony" is another word for belief or conviction. When I speak of my testimony I am speaking of my conviction that this is the church of Jesus Christ. That we have a living prophet once again on the Earth - and that prophet - President Thomas Monson does receive revelation for us today. I am speaking of my belief that The Book Of Mormon and The Bible are sacred scripture. That Heavenly Father - in His great mercy - has provided a way for us to have our families forever. And that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. Show more Show less
