Hi I'm Gary

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I served in the U.S Army, in Vietnam. I am a retired forensic scientist.

About Me

I'm have been happily married for 42 years, with 7 children and 35 grandchildren. I am retired from law enforcement as a forensic laboratory manager. Also, I am a Vietnam combat veteran. Since retiring, my wife and I have lived in Russia and in Belarus, serving for the Church of Jesus Chris to Latter-day Saints. One of my hobby's is photography. Both my wife and I also love gardening and raising flowers. We also keep our own beehives. Being with our grandchildren is also a great hobby of ours. Both of us love to spend time doing genealogy work also.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons why I am a Mormon. One reason would be the Book of Mormon and the Bible. These scared records are indeed the word of God. The great spirit I feel when studying these books testifies to me of the truthfulness of what Heavenly Father has given us and of this great church.

How I live my faith

My wife and I feel it is important to set an example for our family and those around us by living our faith. We have served one mission for the church and we are currently serving now. I am involved in our community by serving in the Rotary club and trying to help where needed. In the past I have served as a Bishop (leader of a local congregation) and serve as a home teacher, visiting families in the local congregation.
