Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a Dad, Husband, and an Engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Father of 2 boys and 2 girls and have been married for 17 years. I am a chemical engineer and work for an architectural and design firm. I was a missionary for the LDS church for 2 years and traveled to many cities in Spain including Barcelona, Cartagena and Valencia. My wife and visited Spain about 10 years ago and we occasionally make Spanish food for our family. I enjoy participating in church activities, planning pick up games of basketball and ping-pong with my kids and going on weekly dates with my wife. I enjoy the outdoors and traveling. I have traveled to Germany and Singapore for my work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church answers many questions about where we came from, why are we here on this earth and where do we go after we die. This church teaches us about the life and mission of Jesus Christ, what Christ did for us, and how he restored his true church on the earth through living modern day prophets. I have had many special experiences that have witnessed to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is his true church on the earth today. This church teaches us how we can overcome daily challenges and struggles and become stronger through obedience to the Lords commandments and through simple acts of service. We believe that families can be together for ever and live together after we die. I know there is a living prophet and 12 apostles on the earth today to receive modern day revelation. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently a member of a leadership group in my church that helps plans group activities with the Fathers in our church and organizes a program where every family in the our local church is visited by other church members to make sure spiritual and temporal needs are being met in the home. We provide other acts of service on a regular basis including helping new people move into the area or provide other volunteer acts of kindness or service to other areas of the community. Because we are a lay clergy, I occasionally will teach a group of Fathers a lesson during our church services. I enjoy going to church each week to share experiences and learn from others who are like me and have families and trying to teach them correct and righteous principles. There a few other members of the LDS church at my work, but not many. I try to help others understand more about the LDS church simply by my actions in and out of work.
