Hi I'm Stan

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah. Became active in the Mormon Church when I joined the service. Raised my children in the church.

About Me

I am a retired policeman with four children and six grandchildren. My family is the most important part of my life. I used the teachings of the church to raise my children. I worship Jesus Christ as my savior and His Father as my God. My hobby is genealogy. I like to learn about my ancestors. On my paternal side, my ancestors followed Joseph Smith from New York to Nauvoo Illinois and Brigham Young to Utah where they settled in the town I was born in. I never new this until I started my research on them. I stay busy working with retired policemen on things of interest to all of us. I keep busy in the church by participating in my callings I receive from my bishop or stake president. My lovely wife and I just celebrated fifty years of marriage.

Why I am a Mormon

I have learned that Father-in-Heaven answers prayers. By answering my prayers I am aware that God loves me very much. Where much is given by God, much is expected. I find by serving in his church I am serving him. My testimony is that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same as the Church that Jesus Christ established when he is on the earth. He speaks through prophets such as Joseph Smith, our founder, and now in our present time, Thomas S. Monson. I invite you to search and pray about this church and what the savior may have in store for you.

How I live my faith

I visit ward members as their Home Teacher, I answer calls of service my priesthood leaders. I try to bare my testimony that Jesus is the Christ as often as I can by actions as well speaking to people about Him. I am always conscience that when one serves the least of us that we are serving our savior.
