Hi I'm Deanna

I'm a chemistry teacher. I own and operate a business with my husband. I'm a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my husband and children whether we are working, serving or playing. I spent many years at home with my children as a full time mother during which time I was blessed with opportunities to learn many Cub Scout songs and the intricacies of diaper changing, dishes and laundry. Now I am blessed to be at high school with my youngest son. As a chemistry teacher, I spend many of my days working chemistry problems with teenagers. I love working with the teens as they face challenging work and discover that they have the talent to accomplish difficult things. In my spare time I enjoy working with my husband on our family business, sewing, playing the piano or occasional kite flying on the beach. I am looking forward to the time when my husband and I can serve a full time mission together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides peace and direction in my life. In a complicated world full of challenges I have found that striving to live the teachings of Christ simplifies the challenges that I face. The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides hope and peace. I am especially grateful for the guidance and strength that come from scripture study and daily prayer. Studying the Gospel helps me to increase my understanding of who I am, why I am here on this Earth, where I came from before this life and where I am going after I die. I know that we are children of our Heavenly Father and that He loves us. Before we came here we lived with Him and He has sent us here that we may have the opportunity to learn and choose to follow our Savior Jesus Christ that we may return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the church by organizing service opportunities in our community. Recently our church helped to build a new park in our city. It was a great experience for us all to give back to our community. I have also taught classes to the teenage girls and women at church on Sundays.
