Hi I'm David

I'm a retired army first sergeant and a software engineer and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a family man, software engineer, retired soldier and amateur woodworker. First of all I am a husband and father of two daughters. My family provides me with much happiness and purpose in my life. To support my family I work as a satellite software engineer. I feel greatly blessed by my Heavenly Father to have a great job that is almost always interesting. For twenty two years I served in the US Army and the Army National Guard which has provided me with a lot of opportunities to serve others. I have deployed to Panama, Honduras and Iraq, have seen great poverty and worked on road construction projects that will help to improve the lives of the people in the areas where I served. Finally I like to spend time at home building furniture and toys for my family and friends. It is a good feeling to be able to take wood and create something with it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by my parents who taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to Heavenly Father to know if it true and I received a witness from the Holy Ghost that it is true. As I journey through life here on earth the experiences that I have just strengthen my testimony that Jesus Christ is the head of this church and is directing it through a living prophet today. The church makes me a better person.

How I live my faith

I look for opportunities to serve others as this is the example that the Savior gave us. There are many people that need a listening ear or someone to help them do something that they cannot do. I do this at work, in my neighborhood and in my ward at church.
