Hi I'm Heidi

I am a wife and mother of 3. Spending time with my family is my first favorite hobby, photography is my second. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 3 children. I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my family. Although I love my children very much, date night is my most treasured night of the week. I have found that spending time alone with my husband is a very valuable part of keeping our relationship strong. My husband and I enjoy finding obscure restaurants and trying them out. We also love music and so we try to attend the symphony or musicals as often as possible. In college, I studied to be an elementary teacher, but I have found my true passion lies in photography. I only do it as a hobby, but I love experimenting and finding the perfect light for the perfect picture. My favorite subjects are my children, although, they are also my most difficult subjects.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since I was a child. At the age of 15, I watched a good friend die of an aortic aneurysm. Her death got me thinking about what I truly believed about life-after-death and about my own preparedness for death. I studied the Book of Mormon and prayed diligently to know if it was the truth. I found peace in the scriptures and I knew that what I had been taught about life-after-death was true. I knew that my Heavenly Father loved me and my friend and that he had a plan for each of us. I knew that our spirits would live even after this life and that we would live with our Father in Heaven again. Since then, my testimony of the gospel has grown stronger and now I try to share what I know with my own children. I have found that through the teachings of the gospel, I have found true happiness in my home and family.

How I live my faith

I organize events for the women in my congregation. We have activities once a month to help us develop desirable characteristics and to help us discover and utilize our talents and serve others. I also visit other sisters in the congregation to make sure that they are happy and that they have their needs met. I find that through this service, I am better able to forget my own problems and to focus more on others.
