Hi I'm jared
I'm a father, engineer, motorcycle and ultimate frisbee enthusiast, and a Mormon.
About Me
I have been blessed with a beautiful wife and two beautiful children. I have a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering. I learned to speak Mandarin Chinese while serving a mission in Taiwan. I participate in competitive ultimate frisbee leagues. I enjoy taking my wife for rides on my motorcycle. I also enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, hiking and just about any other activity that keeps me out doors.
Why I am a Mormon
I was lucky enough to be born to parents who were also members of this church. Growing up in the church made my childhood much easier. It helped me understand not only what kind of a person I should be, but why I should be that type of person. I was able to associate with people who helped me make good decisions. As I progressed through high school and college, my understanding of the gospel increased. I developed a personal relationship with my savior Jesus Christ, and have felt His guidance and comfort throughout my life. Now that I am married and have children of my own, it comforts me to know that through my testimony and faith in Jesus Christ, I can live with my family forever.
How I live my faith
I love the opportunities for service being a member of the church affords me. I am currently a Webelos den leader, in the cub scouting program, for a fun and excited group of ten year old boys. I get to plan lessons and projects that help these boys grow and begin to experience life outside the home. I also have the opportunity to visit a family each month as part of the home teaching family. I believe the blessings I receive from these service opportunities far out weigh any service I render others. I know the Lord blesses me and helps me to serve others and I try my hardest to help those around me.
